As Surely as the Sun Rises

let us press on to acknowledge Him.
As surely as the sun rises, He will appear;
He will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth."
~Hosea 6:3

As surely as the sun rises . . .

Each morning that I wake, I do not wonder if the sun is going to rise.  It is something that I expect, that I take for granted.  It is something that is sure.  Few things are certain, but this is one of them.

As is Christ's return.  He will appear.  He will restore.  He will renew.

"Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. The angel said to me, 'These words are trustworthy and true'" (Revelation 22:1-6).

There are so many prophecies fulfilled and promises kept in God's Word, that I believe this one is well.  He is faithful.  He will do it.  As surely as the sun rises.

"He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.'
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus" (Revelation 22:20).

Grace be with you while we wait.

Wow, I loved this! Great photo and lovely choice of scriptures to go with it!

Only very recently, I was thinking the very exact same thing with regards to the sun rising etc. You took it a step further for me, and I will meditate on your thoughts because they are lovely and encouraging...

Have a great WFW Glowin' Girl! Bless you!

Yes indeed, let us press on to know Him...for He will come.
I was asked by a sales consultant here in my home what happened after Jesus rose from the dead. It was a joy to tell her that He ascended to His father and He is coming back for us.
Pray for Kylie....she took a Bible to read and I am sure there will be a lot to distract her, but I am sure it was a divine appointment.

Lovely post.
We are reading through Revelation in our evening devotions. So, of course I was excited to see parts of it in your post!
I liked reading your thoughts and connections with God's Word. More things to ponder and give thanks to Him on this day.
Thanks for sharing.
May He bless your day!

AMEN! I look forward to that day. One thing I never noticed until now was there are 2 trees of life - one on each side of the river. Interesting....

There is great reassurance in relying on His promises! Thank you for this calm reminder...I'm surrounded by some "predictors" and it can be tiresome. "ALWAYS be ready...but no one knows the time!" Thanks for your visit to my blog! Smiles!!
