What Will You Celebrate? (Friendly Friday)

Easter dazzles the eye and delights the heart.  It's the old, old story about new life.  It's the Ancient of Days sacrificed to be born anew in your heart.

We keep the old tradition of dying eggs.  We skip the bunny but celebrate the colors and the artistry and the fun of creating.

And we try a new-to-us tradition.  Resurrection Rolls.  Introduced by a friend at church, we loved the sweet symbolism of the empty tomb.

It's Friendly Friday.  I ask; you answer.
What old or new tradition will you be celebrating this Easter?

May you be blessed by them!

We haven't decorated eggs yet but we did go on an Easter Egg hunt. I am glad there are so many fun things to do with children at this time of year. I also love Resurrection eggs. Have you ever used those? So fun!

We celebrate Jesus this easter season and we are thankful that he rose from the dead!

I love Resurrection eggs! We tend to do them every few years. Whoever thought of them -- so smart!

Resurrection rolls sound awesome! We did eggs and reaad some Easter books. At two JDaniel doesn't get the true meaning of Easter.

My favorite tradition was always coloring eggs. I have even tried to get my friends and hubby to do it. With no success. Now, I do not have any Easter tradition...except for spending the day with family.

Thanks for stopping by last week!

Love the colorful eggs! I don't celebrate Easter but I do enjoy all the color exploding in early spring.

Oh, Happy Saturday SITS Sharefest!

I don't have kids so I don't have to worry about baskets and whatnot. I plan to follow the family tradition of going to church, followed by a potluck-style family dinner at my mom's house. I'm making carrot cake with cream cheese frosting this year.

Easter eggs and Easter baskets are the the fun part of Easter, but of course the serious part, the true celebration is that He has Risen!
P.S. Your name is in the hat for my give-away. :)

Happy Easter

Oh, and on traditions - the boys colored eggs last night (with daddy) for the first time ever. Don't know if it will be a tradition or not...I love to hear what others are doing, to get some ideas for ourselves!

Those resurrection rolls are really good! We did those with my Sunday School class of 5th grade boys last year and it was fun. Of course, they like anything involving food!

Added you to my blog rolls! So excited to have found your blog!

Visiting from SITS.
