A Man with a Maiden

"There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand:
the way of an eagle in the sky,
the way of a snake on a rock,
the way of a ship on the high seas,
and the way of a man with a maiden."
                                                                                                Proverbs 30:18-19

It is the month of weddings, a time to celebrate that special love between a man and a woman.  And I love so much that God considers it a beautiful, sacred gift.  It's something to be enjoyed and treasured . . . a secret time with you and your spouse.

Amazing, incomprehensible and wonderful.  God is that.  And His gifts to us here point to His creativity, passion and joy.

Because I love being married, and I love God's Word, I want to share a couple of different links today.  I'm a fan of The Dating Divas, a blog I found recently.  They are all about celebrating marriage and continuing to find ways to show love to the one you pledged to love forever.

Also, e-Mom at Chrysalis has a great thing going on called Marriage Mondays.  She's full of wisdom and is great about sharing.

And if you'd like to read more about God's love for you, visit Internet Cafe Devotions for more Word-Filled Wednesday inspiration.  You'll be glad you did.

Stopping by from SITS. I'm glad I found your blog, I love what you have to say. It's great to meet a fellow sister in Christ who views things similarly.

Have a great day!

Oh you are so right - my hubby and I were just laughing about our disastrous wedding this morning. So much went wrong on our day but we just giggled - it's about the marriage not the wedding.

Thanks for sharing these links - I will go and check them out!

Omgoodness! One of my all-time favorite verses that my big sis pointed out to me years ago...she's a hopeless romantic and loves the idea of the hold a maiden has on a man, just like the hold we, have on Jesus, so beautiful!!!!!! And I just LOVE the picture that goes with it, what fun!! Thanks for the heads up on those two blogs, both are great...I especially love those dating divas, cute, cute fun blog!

You know being that I always seem to be a jerk and so negative in alot of ways, one thing I am always positive about is my love for my wife. She is the best. Your blog is great, you are always so positive and never have anything bad to say. That is such a healthy way to live and I bet your husband and kids really benefit rom that as well. Thanks for a great blog

Wonderful Word-Filled Wednesday words of encouragement to all who are married. As a wife of over 29 years and a widow of over 10 years, I encourage all of you to give your spouses extra hugs and love today, for we never know what tomorrow will bring. But, PRAISE GOD, we KNOW who holds tomorrow in HIS hands! :)
